Over the last several years, the Rotary Club of Lake Norman – Huntersville has contributed in excess of $250,000 to local charities including The Lake Norman Community Health Clinic, Little Smiles of NC, The Hope House, The Ada Jenkins Center, USO of North Carolina - Charlotte, Angels and Sparrows, The Red Cross, and Rotary International's primary focus of End Polio Now.
Our Rotary club also supports our local youth by offering several different scholarships.We provide sponsorship for Rotary District 7680's Seminar for Tomorrow's Leaders, aka SFTL and NewGen Peacebuilders programs. SFTL is a three day youth leadership experience 100% funded by the Rotary Clubs of Rotary District 7680 and also participating sponsors. NewGen Peacebuilders is a youth peace education program that emphasizes the role of young people in achieving a peaceful world.
Rotary Youth Exchange is another area that our club sponsors. We have had the pleasure of hosting inbound exchange students and also sending outbound students. This is a program that helps broaden a youth's knowledge of the world and brings a better understanding of World Peace. Our Rotary club believes that the future of our world lies within the hands of today's youth, and we want to support them through our varied youth initiatives.
